Step 1: File Location

Follow the below steps to establish a new location for the Application Configurator security and connection files, and to define general security settings:

  1. Sign into Application Configurator. From the desktop, click Start > Spreadsheet Server Suite > Application Configurator. The Administrator Login panel appears.
  2. Type the administrator user name and password, as provided by an insightsoftware, and click OK (the default user name is Admin, and the password is gsi, unless later modified). The Application Configurator panel appears.
  3. Click the File drop-down list, then Settings. The Application Configurator Settings > General panel appears.
  4. Use the following table to enter data in the General panel:

    Security:


    Security File Network Folder

    Type the path, or, click the Browse button to select a common network folder location for the security and connection files. This should be a secured location to which each Application Configurator user has access.

    Cloud Storage Location

    Type the cloud storage URL to connect to insightsoftware’s cloud file management system.
    Port If providing a Cloud Storage Location, type the port number to connect to, if necessary.

    Online License Check:

    Specify whether the online license check is Enabled or Disabled. If disabling, this function is password protected.

    Auto Load:


    Auto load Configurator files from network location

    If selected, each time Application Configurator is opened, the system automatically loads the file data from the Security File Network Folder.

    Select multiple ERPs for display:

    Select the ERPs you will be using in Spreadsheet Server.

  6. Click OK. The system processes the changes, and closes the panel.
  7. Click File > Save, or the Save icon. If a shared network location is defined, a prompt panel appears.
  8. Click Yes to push the changes to the network.
