Parameters Panel
The Parameters panel is used to maintain parameters for the query. Test values may be assigned to the parameters, enabling users to test a query directly in Query Designer, prior to using it in Excel. Criteria assigned to the parameters also determines drill down subquery processing, and the listing of valid values in Formula Builder.
- When a query is opened in Query Designer, the Parameters panel appears, displaying the parameter information of the selected query.
- Use the following table to enter data in the Parameters panel:

- Add a new parameter: right-click the top-left portion of the parameter grid. A new parameter is added to the grid (see Standard Parameters in Spreadsheet Server for more information).
- Modify a parameter: click the desired grid cell and make the modifications.

The column name to be used for matching to drill down panel column names, when determining whether the query is a valid subquery of the associated drill down. |
