Analyst Sign In
Follow the below steps to start the add-in component of Spreadsheet Server for Analyst ledgers:
Note: If a user's Spreadsheet Server Settings are set to start Spreadsheet Server during Excel startup, step 2 is not applicable. If unattended (auto) sign in is enabled, steps 3 and 4 are not applicable.
- Open Excel.
- In Excel, from the Spreadsheet Server Ribbon, select Disabled (or, click the down arrow under the Disabled button, and click Enable). The Sign On to Spreadsheet Server dialog box appears.
- Various methods are available for signing into Spreadsheet Server, based on the connection protocol being used:
- Host Name or IP Address: the iSeries system name or IP address that hosts the database.

Database Library: the name of library or catalog containing the
GL
data. - User Name: the iSeries or SQL Server user name.
- Password: the iSeries or SQL Server password.
- In the Sign On to Spreadsheet Server dialog box, select the Direct check box.
- Specify the following fields:
- Host Name or IP Address: the host or IP Address that hosts the database.
- Service: the Oracle Service Name indicating where the database is located.
- Port: the port number.
- User Name: defaults to the user name assigned to the user in Application Configurator.
- Password: only required if a password was created for the user in Application Configurator.
- In the Sign On to Spreadsheet Server dialog box, do not select the Direct check box.
- Specify the following fields:
- Oracle Service Name: the Oracle Service Name configured through Oracle Net Manager.
- User Name: defaults to the user name assigned to the user in Application Configurator.
- Password: only required if a password was created for the user in Application Configurator.
- Click OK.

In the Sign On to Spreadsheet Server dialog box, specify the following fields:
Oracle Direct Connect
Oracle Client
